My wife cannot have coffee either. She has switched to dandelion coffee substitute. We buy it from Holland & Berrett in the UK, but this is in the US: http://www.dandyblend.com

I feel ya George. I am trying to give up alcohol, smoking, and caffeine. I am actually feeling pretty angry about the whole thing about now.

I'm with you in spirit, Summer...I've developed some kind of weird allergy to coffee! Just one cup and I feel sick. You and I can do this together!

I never was a coffee drinker, so I don't understand that cord that tethers you to it. But, I was a caffeine drinker for many years. And last November, I cut it out of my system. If you can believe it, I'm sleeping better and actually feel more awake as a result (thus, cutting the need for caffeine). Hopefully, this departure will lead to brighter times for you, too.

I am trying so hard to cut caffeine from my diet, but my employer is making it hard. They frown on me sleeping under my desk.

Hope yours is more understanding.
